ESPN’s Jerry Crasnick takes a look at the remaining free agents available for your team. He says the old “Kenny Lofton routine” of waiting until after the new year to find a job has become an epidemic.

Piazza, Corey Patterson, Trot Nixon, Livan Hernandez, Kyle Lohse, Pedro Feliz, Reggie Sanders and Barry Bonds are just a handful of the names left without deals for 2008.

Hmmm…what about the Cubs bringing back Corey Patterson as a 4th outfielder/pinchrunner if they trade Pie?  And why haven’t the Sox called about Shannon Stewart? Kenny Lofton? Kyle Lohse? Lohse wants top dollar so I understand that one. If I was Ken Williams I’d even take a chance on Livan Hernandez, if it was reasonable dollars and for only one-year. The White Sox rotation has plenty of potential but it also scares me.
