DO THE BOSOX GO FOR BONDS?
With the injury to Big Papi, Boston.com asks: If the call comes in to Theo, does he pick it up? The caller would be Barry Bonds. As a baseball fan, I would love to see it. No matter what you think of Bonds, it’s a great storyline. Bonds in a Red Sox uni? Ripping shots over the short porch? Off the monstah? Failing miserably to end his career? Isn’t it all worth a look?
Maybe not for Red Sox fans. After all, only the Rangers have scored more runs in the AL. And Ortiz may only be out a month. But I’d sure like to see it.
