The Tigers are on the move and guess who’s hotter than the summer pavement? Miguel Cabrera.
Cabrera homered again Wednesday night–a walk-off winner–after hitting 2 the night before. He’s hit 5 since July 4th. In his last 10 games he is hitting .410. For the season now he is 16 56 .292/.357/.503. Slightly less than his career averages but I’m guessing he’s going to get there soon.
The Tigers are now 46-44 and just 3.5 out in the Central. They’ve won 10 of their last 14. I wonder which GM will be the next one to make a big acquisition? Don’t be surprised if it’s the man from Motown.

If Dombo does anything, he should find a new closer. Immediately. Todd Jones is awful. DD will spend the cash before the deadline, but I’m not sure who will be available and how much young talent the Tigers have left after the last round of trades. Who knows? At least they’ve made it interesting after a horrible start. FIRE MILLEN MANG!
Why in the world is Todd Jones STILL closing for that team???
