His road splits are average at best and I think his stellar numbers are more indicative of him playing in Petco for most of his starts. Don't get me wrong, I think Peavy is a solid starting pitcher, BUT I don't think he's as valuable as many folks seem to think. Also, I'm pretty shocked the Pads didn't do the Braves trade that was written about. They were getting Escobar and at least two very good prospects in the scenarios I was reading. Not sure why they didn't think that was enough. Honestly, I can’t help but think Peavy will be a disappointment wherever he goes.
