BULLS TALKED ABOUT MARION

From Hoopsworld:
“The Shawn Marion era for the Miami Heat may be coming to a close. League sources confided that Miami was indeed looking at opportunities in the trade market and that Shawn Marion was an available chip…Sources say the Chicago Bulls, the New York Knicks and the Sacramento Kings have all had some level of discussion with the Heat. The Bulls were looking to shed Larry Hughes as the centerpiece of a deal that apparently did not interest the Heat at all.”
That’s not surprising. The good news–if the report is true–is that Pax is actively seeking to get rid of Hughes. If he keeps scoring and draining 3s, perhaps he can be moved to some playoff team near the deadline. Perhaps that’s wishful thinking, but then the same could have been said about Ben Wallace last season.
As for Marion, I’ve always liked him and he’s a joy to watch. But he’s in his 10th year and is 30 years old. He is a free agent after the season.
Meanwhile, this Bulls fan hopes that Carlos Boozer opts out of his Jazz contract and wants to come to Chicago.

Boozer would be a much better option.
