Here is an ESPN interview with Joey Porter wherein he basically advocates the carrying of guns for professional athletes. What’s ridiculous is that he thinks because Steve Smith was robbed by his own driver that pros should pack their own heat rather than hire professionally trained security.

I’m not sure I would use that as a defense for Plaxico Burress. The guy shot himself! Not only was he seemingly a novice with firearms, it is illegal to carry a concealed weapon without the proper license.
