GET READY FOR 93 GAMES OF AWESOME!
Milton Bradley is a Cub.
Bradley has played more than 140 games in a season just once, in 2004. He’s made it to 400+ at-bats just twice. This is his 7th team. So that’s why I am not thrilled, even though I know he has the potential to dominate offensively.

Indianapolis Colts to win Super Bowl
Ho hum. More telling is with all the teams he’s been on in the hope of putting them over the top, he’s only been to the playoffs twice, getting first-round-bounced each time. Hey, at least his teams WON first round games though. But, thirty-million poorly spent, IMHO.
Gotta spend money on someone. He’s the best available.
As a Cardinals fan, I sure wish my team could spend the kind of coin the Cubs spend on a yearly basis. They’ve become the Yankees of the NL.
Best available, but will he be a cancer in the clubhouse? That dude has some issues. FIRE FORD MANG!!!!!!!!!11111111111
Yeah, D, especially in the past five years and they’ve got just as many rings to show for it, LOL! PB…he can’t be a cancer if he spends more time in the trainers room than the dugout!
I think that would be the Mets–not the Cubs–as the Yanks of the NL. And the White Sox actually had a higher payroll than the Cubs in 08!
And where were the Cards? Just 4 slots back from the Cubs!!
Hard to believe this guy can still land on a roster.
Zoner, your being a bit misleading in your evaluation of team payrolls. The Cubs have 6 or 7 colossal contracts on their books right now. There aren’t too many clubs outside of the Yankees and Mets who have that many long term deals on their books. On top of that, your Cubs are STILL thinking about trading for Peavy! His deal is for an obnoxious amount of money and years. You think the Cards would even think of putting a contract like that on their books?
Well, they did add Lohse for 42 mill plus Carp plus Pujols…point is that they are not poor.
