Classic Ditka: Da Coach On NFL Today
This is all kinds of awesome. This clip is from the NFL Today after the 1984 Bears/Redskins playoff game. Recently retired Terry Bradshaw joins Brent Musberger and tells him how he’s never seen a harder hitting defense than the Bears. Then they toss it to Irv Cross, who gets postgame thoughts from a very sweaty Mike Ditka. Halfway through the clip we get a classic Bob Uecker Miller commercial, and then Bill Walsh and Da Coach trade pleasantries. Of course, the joviality wouldn’t last long. In that next playoff game Ditka was fuming that the Niners ran up the score.
