The Cubs go as Soriano goes. If he is really hurting he should be moved down in the lineup for a bit. You might as well do it while he is struggling instead of waiting until he gets hot and then forcing him to cover for other bats in the lineup.

Either way, I have to believe that this funk can't go on much longer.

There really isn't anything different for me to say on this subject, being a cubs fan it has been hard to watch them lately and we are very lucky to only be 2 1/2 back in the division. In my opinion there's no reason why the Cubs should be playing the way they are right now. Despite the injuries there's still plenty of talent on this team and they're just not using it. I hope he proves me wrong but I'm starting to think that Bradley was a waste of money.

I'm with you, Zoner. I have trouble sitting down and watching this team. There is no reason to be excited, except that they are playing in the most average division in baseball.

I don't see the Brewers pitching holding up. I can't figure out the Cards. Watch the Reds sneak in there and win the division. Anyway it plays out, it's hard to watch.

At least the Cubs have a good pitching staff and an organization that isn't too cheap to make a bold trade. I've defended Cards management in the past, but I'm really starting to become quite sick of Bill Dewitt and his ultra conservative ways.

Hey Tony! The only thing I read about was the Tejada trade. But they did move Khalil Green to third on his rehab assignment, which could indicate an upcoming move for Tejada, or that Glaus may not be back as soon as they expected.

Love the sarcasm.

My Redbirds are setting me up for another groaner of a season, I'm afraid.

Really hope that Cards' management lights it up before the trade deadline.

But history would say otherwise.

And what a sorry state of affairs in the Central that this team is .500 and still only 2 1/2 out. Great time to be a Cubs fan.
