Further Proof That LeBron Is Not MJ

16

125_lebron_dunkGotta keep up appearances. No dents in the armor, right? This story is ridiculous. Xavier’s Jordan Crawford dunked on LeBron at the ‘LeBron James Skills Academy’. I bet you want to see it, right? You won’t.

From CBS Sports:

There were at least two cameras rolling Monday night when Crawford dunked on James during a pick-up game. It was a two-handed jam, the kind that would’ve circulated quickly on YouTube. But Nike officials eliminated that possibility shortly after the dunk happened by allegedly confiscating tapes from various cameramen.

Freelance photographer Ryan Miller was one of the cameramen shooting the game.

He told CBSSports.com that Nike Basketball Senior Director Lynn Merritt took his tape.

“He just said, ‘We have to take your tape,’” Miller said. “They took it from other guys, too.”

Worth noting is that there is no policy against filming at the LeBron James Skills Academy, and Miller said he had been filming all day without incident. Nobody ever told him to stop. Nobody ever said there was a problem … until after Crawford dunked on James.

“LeBron called Lynn over and told him something,” Miller said. “That’s how I knew his name was Lynn. LeBron said, ‘Hey, Lynn. Come here.’”

Minutes later, Miller said Merritt demanded his tape.

“There’s nothing I can think of besides LeBron just not wanting it online,” Miller said. “It’s a good story to tell people, I guess. But then again, I’m kind of pissed. I lost my tape.”

Weak sauce. MJ would have laughed it off, then challenged the kid to a game of one one one and destroyed him. Is this how fragile LeBron is — that he can’t give the college kid the thrill of a lifetime?

Lebron’s stock is certainly taking a dive these past few days and weeks, eh?

    SELL SELL SELL

  2. Damon says:

Yep, he said the “N” word too.http://cursedcleveland.com/?p=1576
This guy sucks. I know I know, he “says and does the right thing” well that’s only when he thinks the camera is on. Of course, if it turns out the camera was on when he didn’t think it was on, he has footage destroyed.

    FIRST of all…
LeBron James didn’t confiscate the tapes, Nike officials did. I’m sure he doesn’t care if he gets dunked on, it happens all the time in the NBA. I’m sure he wasn’t playing balls out defense for some scrawny ass pickup game.

Have you seen this guys speed? Have you seen how high he can jump and how explosive he is? I am sure that someone dunked while he was standing in the vicinity, but he did not dunk ON LeBron James.

Secondly, LeBron is a class act. He doesn’t party, he doesn’t go to clubs, he is very humble for his talent level, you never see him talking trash like MJ. He is a family man. He never got into trouble as a youth or now, and he has the maturity of someone twice his age.

All you haters can jump off a building

  4. The Zoner says:

Derek– re-read the article. LeBron orchestrated it.

  5. Amy says:

Why is it so bad for LeBron to get dunked on? It happens in every NBA game anyways.

  6. dhaab says:

    You seriously deleted my post?
Last time I come on this blog.

  7. Zoner says:

    ????

What did you write–might have went to spambuster land if there were any bad words or links.

  8. dhaab says:

I don’t write bad words on here. In fact, I saw that it posted, so somebody must have deleted it.

All I said was how Jordan would have challenged the guy, won the game and then gone over to his secret apartment and slept with one of his girlfriends and then gone out for a night of gambling. Jordan may be the better basketball player, but Lebron is ten times the man MJ is.

    That’s literally all I wrote.
The post was there at 5pm today and now it’s gone.

  9. Zoner says:

No idea how that happened. I don’t censor anyone except for spam and foul language.

But what you wrote is funny!

  10. dhaab says:

Okay. I’ll just chalk it up to the internet/computers being weird sometimes. Sorry to come off so harsh, but censoring is a HUGE pet peeve of mine.

  11. The Zoner says:

No worries. I would never censor.

  12. john says:

    lebron is becoming a-rod.

  13. Ben says:

Shady zoner. You write an article about lebron censoring media and then you do the same thing to a reader. Let the man have his day…

  14. Ben says:

Oh and mj would have destroyed him in one-on-one, found HIS gf and slept with him in the collegekid’s dorm room before going to AC for the night. That’s how he rolls and that’s who I want on my team.

  15. Joe says:

Well I did see it because it eventually was released and this is such a dumb website

  16. Josh says:

This is so unrelated to anything to do with his ability to play basketball it’s ridiculous. You need proof that Lebron is not MJ? Look at them. They’re different people. However Lebron reacted to getting dunked on – has absolutely nothing to do with him as a basketball player. The fact that you want to bash him for not reacting like you think MJ would makes you appear jealous of his talent. Which you should be. He’s the man.
