Apology For the Beer Dumping Cubs Fan
This is what you would call misplaced anger. Drunk Cubs fan in the bleachers dumps a beer on Victorino. Here’s the vid until the MLB police take it down:
Gee, imagine that. A drunk Cubs fan in the bleachers. I hope his parents are proud. Victorino is one of the best stories in baseball today. To dump a beer on him (or any player) is simply ridiculous. Victorino is everything baseball fans admire in a player.
Here’s an apology to Philly and Victorino from a Cubs fan. I do ask just one thing of Philly though: send us a postcard from the postseason?
Just read in the Trib that Wrigley security grabbed the wrong guy and the beer thrower got away. Shocking that none of the fans around him turned the brainless loser in. (eyes rolling)
BTW, I’ve been telling people for years that the Wrigley bleachers are chock full of some of the worst fans in baseball. So has Marty Brennaman.
So Zoner, are you conceding the division to the Cards already?

Another idiot gives Cubs fans a bad name. Too bad for those who really enjoy the game and don’t fit the sterotype.
Let’s hope the real guy gets caught, because he could have hurt somebody.

I was at that game near the incident. Victorino is no angel. He taunted a fan that yelled “you suck” before the game started. Victorino said “that is not what your mother said last night.” Not very proper for a professional ball player who makes $$$$$$. He should take some responsibility. Make no mistake, I do not approve at all of the beer dumping.
