I’ll admit the outfield position is somewhat weaker in the NL central, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t better players than a long time minor leaguer like Jones. Jones is actually more of a 1st baseman than an outfielder and doesn’t even start against most left handers. He won’t hit for a very high average either. I’d take Bruce, Pence, Lee, Ludwick, McCutcheon and Rasmus over him, and that’s just off the top of my head.
