“Have you heard anywhere if there’s ever been a better five-game stretch in NFL history, in terms of outscoring opponents by 120 points? There can’t be too many better. I would be curious to know the numbers on this one.”

Well my friend, one need not look farther than the beloved ’85 Bear for a dominant performance such as we have seen to date in ’06. Recall that in the playoffs the beloved whooped the Giant 21-0 and the Ram 24-0, then crushed the Patriot 46-10 for a 101-10 margin in 3 games. Before that they ended the season with a 19-6 drubbing of the Jet and a 37-17 win over the Lion. That would make it 157-33, Bears, and a margin of 124 points. Bears!

    This is a bit off topic, but I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoy your blog. I live in Southwestern Michigan, so I grew up enjoying Chicago sports more than say Detroit because of our location. This is the best Chicago sports blog out there, hands down.
