Bears, Cutler Still Face Long Odds
It’s hard to fathom that the NFL regular season is about 2 months away. But it is, and with all the talk about the Bears and their huge offseason, we take a look at some of the interesting odds that are already up.
If you are really a Bears fan and like to bet on football, I’m sure you’ll throw some money at this: Jay Cutler is +3000 to win the regular season NFL MVP. A hundo + a Cutler win nets you 30-large! 2nd year running back Matt Forte is +4000. I don’t know if the NFL betting public gets hyped about Forte, but the kid could go nuts this year.
So what about the NFL odds for the beloved Bears to actually win the NFC? They are currently at +800. They are ranked behind the Giants, Cowboys and Eagles. Maybe the Bears would be higher in the rankings if they had a receiver that was mentioned in this article: NFL Props – Receiving Yards.
There is still some time to acquire a receiver, and for Cutler and Forte’s sakes (and of course, we the fans) I hope Jerry Angelo picks up a solid vet. Marvin Harrison, anyone?
