BEARS WEEK 5 REVIEW
Stream of consciousness thoughts on week 5…
John St. Clair makes me want the return of John Tait. Now.
Danieal Manning cannot play cornerback. He’s fast physically, but not in reaction time.
Cedric Benson is slow, has poor vision or both. The difference between the way Vernand Morency hit the hole and how Benson did was ridiculous. Morency got the handoff and exploded toward the line. Benson takes handoffs and decelerates.
Walter Payton cringed in heaven when Benson ran out of bounds instead of hitting a DB. Are you serious? HIT A PACKER!
Griese was awesome. Especially considering the Bears STILL can’t run the ball.
Kudos to Ron Turner for at least trying to run it more, and for the awesome play-action call on the scoring pass to Clark.
Welcome, Greg Olsen. We’ve been waiting for you.
Lance Briggs was everywhere.
Charles Tillman is a Pro-Bowl Corner.
Nick Barnett lives to play the Bears.
Maybe Muhammad can’t get open anymore. But I love when he gets the ball. They have to find a way to get him the ball more. He can still be a weapon.
At home against the Vikes next week. This isn’t over yet.
