I know that Jones prolly wanted out, and once they almost dumped him to FLA, he pretty much had to go…but all that aside, this is not a good trade, right? I mean, where would the Cubs have been without Jones the 2nd half. And then there’s this from Hendry:

Um, so, what he’s saying is, he needs someone kinda like Jacque Jones. Yes, hopefully someone better – and by no means am I tryiing to pump up Jones, as his tenure here was mostly awful – but just pointing out this only made a hole bigger, and got back an even worse player at what I don’t see as a position of any need at all. If you’re gonna dump him, but why not for something of even any potential value?

Oh come on PV, you know the addition of Infante will propel Theriot to hit .350 this year out of fear of losing his job.
