CUBS PREDICTIONS: HOW’D WE DO?

Back in March I invited some readers and friends of Zoner Sports to make some predictions about the 2007 Cubs. Who had Sam Fuld for catch of the year? Not me.

Not a soul picked 85-77 as the record. I had 89-73. But there were some close picks, as well as some outlandish predictions. Some are still on the board in regard to the postseason. Click the link above if you’d like to revisit them.

    Man, was I off base. For what it’s worth, I do hope it’s the Cubbies that make it to the series. That franchise needs a championship…

    Needed more badly: Cubs championship or the current winning season for the Lions? Too close to call…

    Well, I might have been 6 wins off, but I did predict the division and can easily see them losing the NLCS – to the Phillies. All this talk about the Mets not making it being such a good thing had me scratching my head – I mean, that Phillies team is scary, no?

    Anyway, Zambrano on the road is the best way to start for the Cubs, so feeling okay about tonight. Provided I get my nap in so I can stay up.

    I like the Phillies and they are indeed scary with the sticks. But their bullpen is equally as scary, not in a good way. They are the Indians of the 90′s with less pitching.
