EDMONDS LIKELY TO STICK AS CUB

Have you seen Jim Edmonds’ numbers as a Cub? They definitely surprised me a bit. It’s only 68 ABs, but he is hitting .309/.342/.515, with 14 RBI in 22 games. His glove hasn’t been the best, but he wasn’t coming here for that anyway. He was brought here because the Cubs needed a solid lefty bat. So far he is providing that.

    I’m happy for Jimmy Ballgame. But enjoy this while it lasts. Recent history shows that he’ll be getting injured yet again very soon.
