EDWARDS MIGHT BE BACK
Scott Pioli says that it is not fait accompli that Herm Edwards will get the axe.
“I have a lot of respect for Herm. I had a chance to visit with Herm today,” said Pioli, who spent the last nine years helping Bill Belichick build a dynasty in New England.
“I’ve got a lot of respect for Herm on a professional level and a personal level. This entire thing is going to be a process.”
The article points out Edwards is 2-23 in his last 25 games. I like Herm a lot, but does anyone really believe he’ll be the head coach when the next season starts? He has one year left on his deal, but what would be the point of having him coming back to lame duck it? Odds are that Pioli wouldn’t re-sign him to another deal.
Edwards is 54-74 in his career as a Head Coach.
