HERE COME THE SPURS

0

The [tag]Spurs[/tag] beat the Kings 100-93 for their 11th straight victory last night. They are now 44-18 and currently seeded 3rd in the West.

Deep, experienced and apparently now willing to D it up like they used to, the Spurs are primed for a long playoff run. They allow the least points per game at 89.9. Only Phoenix and Utah shoot a better percentage. Only the Bulls and Houston (which surprised me) have held their opponents to a lower field goal percentage.

In their current winning streak they have held 4 opponents to 74 points or less. Last night they forced the Kings into 19 turnovers–in Sacramento. I’d match their top 3 of Manu, Duncan and Parker with anyone. Quick note to TNT though: if we want to see Eva Longoria we can watch her show or surf the net. No need to keep cutting to her after every play involving Tony Parker. She’s so overrated anyway. But the Spurs aren’t. Don’t be surprised if the Spurs make it to the finals.
