IT GOES ON AND ON
“It’s hard to conceive that it would take more forces to provide stability in post-Saddam Iraq than it would take to conduct the war itself and to secure the surrender of Saddam’s security forces and his army. Hard to imagine.” –Deputy Defense Secretary Paul Wolfowitz, testifying before the House Budget Committee prior to the Iraq war, Feb. 27, 2003
BAGHDAD, Iraq (AP) – Police say two car bombs kill 15 people and wound 27 in eastern Baghdad.
Maybe someone smarter than I am can give me some knowledge. If we are unable to secure a ‘new’ Iraq, why don’t we leave? Wouldn’t the other countries/UN come in to clean up? What exactly are we going to change in order to ‘finish’ the job and get out? We spend 2 billion a week there and there’s a place called New Orleans that sure could use some reconstruction.
