Milton Bradley Denied By Binomial Logistic Regression

I remember a few things from school. Adam Smith was the father of economics. The disjunctive syllogism is a valid form of argument. Mitosis is where one cell divides into two, and it was more fun to call it My Toe-zees. And of course, binomial logistic regression.
OK, I didn’t know about that last one. But over at The Baseball Analysts, Dave Allen breaks out the Pitch F/X detective to test Milton Bradley’s claim that his strike zone has widened since his blowup with umpire Larry Vanover earlier in the season.
The conclusion? The sample isn’t that big, but so far nothing is terribly different than his last 2 seasons. He just needs to start raking. Forget about the fans, forget about the umps, forget about the Cubs record. See ball, hit ball. Get it done Milton.
