The season starts tonight so it’s prediction time. Post your Bears or any NFL predictions in the comment section, if you wish.

Here is my first prediction.

I have no idea why there are so many high hopes for the Cowboys. They were only 9-7 last year and as far as I can see the only solid team they beat was the Colts. Romo took a Grossman-like dump near the end of the season and had the terrible snap drop against the Seahawks. He had 2 fumbles in that game and 9 for the year–in 10 starts. Rex who?

Dallas starts out with the Giants at home and then travel to Miami and Chicago. They return to Texas for week 4 against the Rams. I will not be surprised if they are 1-3 at that point. Their schedule is tough. They also play the Pats and the rest of the NFC East.

I see them at 9-7 again and another first round playoff exit. Throw a party, Dallas.

The Cowboys definitely have their question marks. How will Romo do in his first full year at the helm? Will T.O. shut up and play like we know he can? Will Terry Glenn be healthy enough to make a major contribution? Will the defense respond to the coaching of Wade Phillips? I like Phillips so I think the defense will be pretty good. It’ll be real interesting Sunday against the Giants.

Bears 14-2. Open with a win against the Bolts.

    Week 1: Chargers 31, Bears 16
    Week 2: Bears 34, Chiefs 6
    Week 3: Bears 27, Cowboys 13*

*I don’t get the Cowboy’s love either. Wade Phillips = Dave Campo, but with a more famous Dad.
