NFL Preseason Week 4: Cowboys at Dolphins
Dallas Cowboys @ Miami Dolphins Thurs. Sept. 1, 2011 7:30 p.m. EST
America’s team will have high expectations once again heading into the NFL regular season as they will have new head coach Jason Garrett calling the shots on the sidelines and superstar quarterback Tony Romo ready to go right out of the gate. At this point in time, there is no telling just how good this Dallas Cowboys team is, but there is no question that they are extremely talented on offense with a Pro Bowl quarterback leading the way.
One of the reasons for the doubts surrounding the Dallas Cowboys right now is the fact that they will be playing in the same division as the revamped Philadelphia Eagles. With both teams fighting for the NFC East division title this season, things could get very interesting with both teams seemingly having a solid shot of winning the division title and making their way into the playoffs.
In the meantime, America’s team will be concentrating on their preseason finale where they will travel to South Beach to take on the Miami Dolphins.
Unlike the Dallas Cowboys, the Miami Dolphins won’t have high expectations this season as they might be headed for more disappointment with unproven quarterback Chad Henne under center. The one bright spot the Dolphins might have on their squad this season is the running game. With the Dolphins trading for former Heisman trophy winning running back Reggie Bush and two-time Pro Bowler Larry Johnson, Miami has a shot at doing some damage in the ground game.
Look for Larry Johnson and rookie running back Daniel Thomas to get the bulk of the carries in this game. Backup quarterback Matt Moore will also take the bulk of the snaps under center.
