NFL Preseason Week 4: Texans @ Vikings

Houston Texans @ Minnesota Vikings Thurs. Sept. 1, 2011 8 p.m. EST

The Houston Texans burst onto the scene last season as a team on the rise in the NFL with playoff aspirations, but they fell just short with some costly injuries and lackluster play late in the season. One of the main reasons for the team’s new found success was the emergence of running back Arian Foster as arguably one of the best players at his position in the NFL.

Even though the Houston Texans have high hopes for this upcoming NFL regular season and believe they have what it takes to finally dethrone the Indianapolis Colts as AFC South division champions, they may face a bit of a setback with Arian Foster tweaking his hamstring for the second time during the preseason. Without Foster healthy and ready to go, the Texans offense will become quite predictable with just the air attack at their disposal.

On Thursday night, the Texans will travel to Minnesota to take on Donovan McNabb and the new-look Vikings for the fourth and final preseason game. As of right now, Arian Foster is questionable with the hamstring injury and probably won’t get any time on the field, but that would be the best move for the Texans in my opinion.

The Houston Texans will do everything within their power to get their Pro Bowl running back ready for the Week 1 showdown against the division rival Indianapolis Colts.
