Pedro gives up 2 homers in 3 1/3 and has to leave the game after hearing his hamstring “pop”. The Mets biggest battles might be amongst themselves this year. Injuries have already been a problem throughout the spring and now Pedro goes down.

Garland took the mound in the 1st with a 2-run lead and that was all he needed. He threw just 95 pitches and got 17 groundball outs. With Lackey and Escobar both hurt, the acquisition of Garland becomes much more important. So far, so good.
