RICCIARDI MAY BE NEXT TO GO

Compelling article over at The Hardball Times regarding the “disease of collective ineptitude” that is the Blue Jay offense, and the man who put it together: J.P. Ricciardi. The writer, John Brattain, offers up three articles of impeachment for Ricciardi. I can add one more to that…

Further evidence against Ricciardi is the utterly insane waiving of Frank Thomas. Recall that they gave Thomas–age 40–until all of April 21st before they rashly removed him from the roster. The Jays are footing the bill and received nothing back for him, while Thomas has an OPS of .930+ since rejoining the A’s. That’s just bad business.
