R.I.P. NICE GUY EDDIE

0

I last saw Chris Penn on an episode of “Law & Order: Criminal Intent”. He played a chef and he was outstanding. That was about a year ago. He had obviously gained weight.

Yesterday he was found dead in his Santa Monica condo. He was only 40.

He was absolutely dominant in “Reservoir Dogs” as Eddie Cabot, the guy who kept it all together for the crew and for his dad Joe.

Jay Mohr used to do a great imitation of Penn in the movie, perfectly mimicking his raspy voice and the way he would refer to Joe as “Daddy”. Dressed in the old school sweats and armed with a brick sized cell phone, it was great comedy and a tribute to the character Penn played so well.
