SUPER BOWL PREDICTIONS

I suppose it’s about time to make a prediction for the game. I honestly won’t be surprised by any outcome. But I have to quote that man of men, Dennis Green. I think in most cases, maybe not Super Bowls, but in most cases teams are ‘who you thought they were’.

By that I mean I don’t expect the Colts to stop the run on Sunday. I don’t expect the Bears to completely shut down Manning & Co. I don’t expect Grossman to lose it for the Bears. I expect both Gould and Vinatieri to be factors. And in the end, all things being equal, I think the Bears win 27-20.

Give your prediction here. The closest gets a Dick Ruthven rookie card. Or something.

    Peyton’s gonna ring it up mang! Bears D aint the same on a neutral field! No cold or snow in Mi-ham-ee mang! Horseshoes 31-18 over the Cubbiebears! Actually I don’t care who wins. While it would be nice to see the Superbowl back in the NFC North, I reeeeeealy don’t want another month of BearsBearsBears coverage on our local media outlets. Thankfully, man created satellite radio. FIRE MILLEN! DO NOT DRAFT ANOTHER WIDE RECEIVER WITH THE SECOND PICK MANG!

    I think you are correct in saying the game will be about two teams who are going to do what they do, just as they have all year. I think the difference will be the Colts big game was against New England and they will have a let down. I predict Bears 27 Colts 23 MVP for Bears offense Thomas Jones Defense Marc Andersen.

    PS I just heard early forecast of rain and wind not sure who that helps??

    I would think rain and wind totally benefits the Bears. Colts are still a dome team.

    It pains me, it really pains me to say…Colts 37 – Bears 24. I see it being close for 2 and a half, maybe 3 quarters. Then a combination of the Bears making mistakes and the Colts capitalizing on them and it’s over. It pains me.

    But it would not surprise me if it went the other way. The only scenerio that would have me surprised is Bears winning big. Like 46 – 10, or something like that.

    Manning may come out and dominate the Bears. He may also come out and puke all over himself like he has done in most every big game he has ever played, Tennessee included. That said I will not be surprised at all if the Bears dominate them. The Colts have stopped the run in the playoffs–but against teams that they were able to stack the box with 8. Can’t do that against the Bears.

    I’m starting to feel more like I did against the Saints. As the week goes on, the more I see the Bears winning. The Colts may also be without or with an injured Nick Harper. That could be huge.

    Bears 26-24. On the last drive Urlacher tips a pass intended for Dallas Clark into the waiting arms of Peanut, sealing the victory.

    If it were Ditka v. the Colts and Bears together, it’d be Ditka 63-0.
