The Future For Ric Bucher?
Not everyone is a fan of Ric Bucher’s work at ESPN. Some Warriors fans. Most of Utah. Deuce-dropping bloggers. But give him credit — he’s been a staple at the WWL since 1999.
However, in this day and age many are but transients in their professions. Sometimes by their own volition. Sometimes not. But it’s all good if you are Ric Bucher, because I have the perfect job for him should he ever tire of reporting on NBA buckets. Or should ESPN ever tire of him. This fancy pic I concocted should explain perfectly:
He’s a dead ringer for Bob Eubanks! Can’t you just see him hosting a game show? Maybe ESPN can bring back “Stump the Schwab” and they can let Ric cut his teeth there. Or perhaps he could play Bob Eubanks in “The Bob Eubanks Story”, whenever they go ahead and make that film. I’m thinking that’s got to be coming soon. They did one on Chuck Barris and it sucked. Surely one must be in the works for the more talented Eubanks.
How about a Ric Bucher talk show? Yao Ming will probably have plenty of time to be the sidekick. The type of drollery isn’t of importance. Ric Bucher, you sir, have the look.
