THEY HAVE A WIKIPEDIA: BILL PIDTO

0

On this edition of THAW, we have a DE-VELOP-ING! SIT-U-A-TION!! It’s former Sportscenter anchor Bill Pidto.

I’m not sure if Pidto is still associated with the WWL. I could have sworn I saw him doing some ESPN News recently, but perhaps I was just dreaming. Good, good dreams. The Wiki says “He was formerly a journalist for ESPN”. Say it ain’t so.

His Wikipedia entry tells us he is the Andy Bernard of Sportscasters: he went to Cornell. What it doesn’t mention is his awesome set of catch phrases. No mention of “The National. Football. League.” “Ring him up, sit him down.” “Yes, please.” (I think that was Pidto.) No mention of any of them. No mention of how Berman and the gang used to chide him on NFL Primetime. Those were good times. Why so many things left out? Disgraceful.

These days Bill is a contributor to the Mad Dog radio program.

So there you have it. Bill Pidto. Cornell graduate. Possibly still employed at ESPN. Wikipedia entry haver.

Hey Bill– if you read this, drop us a line!
