VIDEO GAMES: YOU’VE COME A LONG WAY

4

Check out this video entitled “The Evolution of Video Games”. I totally dig that they have a snippet from “Front Line” in there, one of my all-time favorites and underrated to boot. If I was forced to pick an all-time favorite? I think I’d have to go with Donkey Kong, at least off the top of my head. I was also a huge Dig Dug fan. And Knock Out. And Track & Field. Defender. Mr. Do. Should I stop now? Ok. Enjoy the vid. And don’t forget Crazy Climber. Or Elevator Action. Or Burger Time…

Super Contra, Ghost House (a fave on the original Sega Master System), The Ninja, Space Harrier, Master Blaster.

At the pizza shop, the hands down winners will always be the Original Star Wars Arcade, and Galaga. The machine would talk to you when you played, and sometimes even when you walked by!!!! Amazing.

  • Shocker.

Good call on Space Harrier. I loved Ikari Warriors and double dribble….not to mention ice hockey and blades of steel. Awesome video.

Ikari Warriors was similar to Front Line. I forgot about Double Dribble! Blades of Steel was incredible when it came out. I also used to freak out on Karate Champ.

Galaga goes without saying–one of the best ever. And I thought for its time Tempest was pretty rad.
