WARRIORS SHOCK THE WORLD

0

We all know the “Irk Nowitzki” joke–No ‘D’, but maybe we need to change it to “Irk Nwitzki”. He didn’t play O in this series. Nowitzki actually did more on the defensive end than he did scoring. He shot only 38% from the field including a paltry 21% from beyond the arc.

The Mavs allowed the Warriors to shoot 46% for the series and 37% on threes. Look for Avery Johnson on some NBA show on ESPN next year. I don’t see how he survives this.

As for the Warriors, let the legend of Don Nelson be known to all. Who would have thought a team led by Baron Davis and Stephen Jackson would dump the #1 seed–and they didn’t even need 7 games!

B-Diddy averaged 25 per game shooting 54% and 46% from 3. Insane. As was Stephen Jackson, who averaged 23 per game and shot 48% from 3.

The party might end after this round as the Jazz and Rockets can both D it up. But one of the best stories in the NBA in a long time for a franchise that sorely needed it.
