WE’RE TALKING BOUT PRACTICE
Hey, I like Leo DiCaprio. Fantastic actor. Seems like a great guy. SO hot. But I’m tired of the celebrities/global warming angle. Why? Comments like this from Leo:
“Because we’ve waited, because we’ve turned our backs on nature’s warning signs, and because our political and corporate leaders have consistently ignored the overwhelming scientific evidence, the challenges we face are that much more difficult.”
I do not disagree with anything in that statement. But where is the entertainment industry in all these comments? No one jets–literally–around the country more than these people.
And what’s the deal with carbon neutral? Carbon offsets? Perhaps I’m glib on this, but isn’t that like dumping oil into the ocean and then paying for the cleanup? Electric used is electric used. Gas burned is gas burned. And so on. No one has to jet, no even has to fly commercially. No one needs a $1200 electric bill.
Not to be snot-nosed, but it sure doesn’t look like Gore is doing a lot of walking these days. Are these people all-in or what? We’re talking bout practice. Do they do enough of it?
