WHY IS THE DOLPHINS OFFENSE SO BAD?
Miami sits at 1-3 now and I wonder why they have stunk it up so badly on offense. They have just 51 points in 4 games and have only scored 5 TDs.
Culpepper is working out the kinks of a new offense and a new knee. His rating is 77.0. He no longer is a threat to run. That’s a loss on several levels. He was great at getting yards on the ground and scrambling, as well as making plays on the run out of nothing. That’s gone.
He has good receivers around him. Chambers, Booker, McMichael and Welker are a solid group. Ronnie Brown has only 2 TD and 239 yards through these 4 games. his long run of the season is only 27 yards and he’s averaging 3.5 per carry.
Which leads me to believe the biggest problem is the O-line. Culpepper has been sacked 21 times. At that pace he’ll be lucky to make it to week 8. You’d be a total football geek if you recognized more than a few of these guys: Shelton, Jacox, Carey, Hadnot & Jeno James.
Nick Saban is now 10-10 as the Dolphins coach. It won’t be long until you hear the calls for Harrington to take over at QB. It doesn’t get much easier for Miami. The schedule features tough matchups on the road against the Pats, Bears, Colts, Jets and the Bills. They also have the Jags, Pats and Jets at home.
Are the Dolphins looking at a 4-win season?
