ZONER’S MONDAY MORSELS
Fantastic weekend of sports–playoffs were awesome! To the morsels…
Guess who was hurt again? “I don’t think its anything that’s alarming or major,” said Prior, who has spent the last week with the Padres. “We all didn’t want it to happen, but we knew this could happen. Unfortunately, it came at a time where I was kind of getting close to where I could get out and start getting into some games. I feel good. It’s not a situation where I’m aching and hurting day in and day out. It’s just the life kind of came out of the ball. It wasn’t coming out as clean as I’d like.”
Oh yeah–we all knew it could happen. Care to wager on how many games he plays in the bigs this year? I’ll put the over under on 3.

ESPN looks at the top 50 busts in NFL Draft history.
Check out the on-base percentages of the Cubs’ regulars:
- Fukudome .442
- Soto .437
- DeRosa .425
- Lee .419
- Johnson .418
- Theriot .408
- Ramirez .393
That’s incredible. Only the D-Backs have score more runs than the Cubbies in all of MLB.
And on the other side of town? The White Sox have allowed the least amount of runs in the American League. Both teams are in first place today. And the sun is shining. Enjoy them both while you can…
