The “Guess who’s back” edition! To the morsels…

Joining the ranks of bloggers is none other than Mr. Jay Mariotti. Say what you want about Mariotti–the guy can write. You may not agree with him and he may play both sides of the fence as if he was paid per leap, but he can write. And you must also say this: the guy knew when it was time to leave and head over to new media. He writes about it in his premiere column (blog?) over at AOL Fanhouse.

The Delicate Genius is not happy with the non-moves the Cards have made, and he mourns the loss of Aaron Miles.

Apparently Drew Gooden is not ready to come back yet. He tested his ankle but it’s not ready yet. My guess is he figured this out by shooting fallaway 20-footers in practice. When you come back, how about playing a bit more under the basket, mmkay?

Oklahoma has had enough Tim Tebow talk.

Jason Whitlock has some leftover truths for the new year.

Illini and Michigan battled hard in an entertaining game on Sunday. Illinois is certainly deserving of a top-25 ranking. Chester Frazier’s 1st-half dunk was amazing. I have no idea how he ended up dunking that ball–the low-angle highlight that follows does not do it justice.

Sweet dunk, but UM’s Manny Harris is the man! Could Michigan make the tourney this year? It’s very possible. FIRE FORD MANG!!!!!!!!!

Zoner, I surfed over today specifically to see if you had anything on Gooden – thanks for not letting me down – in the hopes I could say a public “WTF already” with his ankle? He must have read Brandon Lloyd’s blog on how to rehab. Seriously, what a p***y. The sad thing is, the Bulls actually miss him. Yikes.

    “Delicate genius”. LOL

I’m so tired of the Dewitt crap right now. His hand picked GM says publicly that the Cards will be aggressive this offseason and then a few months later does a complete 180 and says they have to be careful with the economy being bad. Yeah, like the economy just went bad these past few months. And then the recent article that you linked to here stating that the Cards aren’t cheap. Whatever, dude.

Thanks for the mention of my Illini! Too bad they couldn’t pull out another conference road win yesterday. They’ve definitely overachieved this year so far. Michigan is a good team and they just made the plays in the last 3 minutes to win the game. Plus, Michigan would have gone to 0-2 in the conference if they had lost that game. They were in desperation mode and that usually makes a team play well.

PB, I think Michigan will make the tourney ONLY if they win some games on the road in the Big Ten. Not so sure if they’re good enough to do that, though. Harris and Simms are great offensive players, though.

Harris and Sims are a ton of fun to watch. I didn’t expect them to win yesterday anyway. How insane would have been another conf road win?

  • PB

If UM can get to 20 wins then I think they might squeak in. Big RPI wins over Duke and UCLA so far might help their cause. It would be nice to see something other than the Not Invited Tournament in Ann Arbor. FIRE FORD MANG!!!!!!!!!11111
